Survey of border marker placement at Tam Hop sub-border gate (Tuong Duong)

(Baonghean.vn) -Implementing the plan of the Vietnam - Laos Joint Committee, today February 16, the Vietnam - Laos Border Marker Planting Joint Delegation surveyed the marker planting location at Tam Hop Sub-Border Gate (Tuong Duong - Nghe An).


Leading the survey delegation, on the Lao side was Comrade Phu Khau - Chief of Office of the Lao National Border Committee; on the Vietnamese side was Comrade Nguyen Anh Dung - Director of the Land Border Department, National Border Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and leaders of the Border Marker Planting Steering Committee of Nghe An province.

Tam Hop sub-border gate is one of the areas with an important position in the socio-economic development strategy, ensuring national security and defense of the two countries Vietnam - Laos as well as the two provinces of Nghe An and Bolykhamsay. In recent years, the governments of the two countries and the two provinces of Nghe An and Bolykhamsay have paid attention to investing in building and opening traffic routes, creating favorable conditions for people to share a common border for convenient trade and economic development; At the same time, strengthening the relationship, special solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, the two States and the people of Vietnam - Laos.

After the field survey, tomorrow, February 17, the Joint Border Marker Planting Delegation of the two countries will hold a bilateral meeting to agree on a number of related contents to proceed with the construction and planting of border markers at the Tam Hop Sub-Border Gate area as soon as possible.
