Nghe An Ornamental Plants Association outlines its tasks for 2012.

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, January 7, 2011, the Ornamental Plants Association of Nghean province held a conference to summarize its work in 2011 and plan its activities for 2012.

By the end of 2011, Nghe An province had 400 hectares of ornamental plants, 40 companies and nurseries, 5 ornamental plant craft villages, 69 driftwood carving establishments, and 149 flower-growing households... creating jobs for over 3,000 workers and contributing tens of billions of dong to the state budget.

The provincial Ornamental Plants Association has over 4,000 members, operating in 200 branches. Twelve districts, cities, and towns have established district-level Ornamental Plants Associations. Besides providing economic benefits, the Association's activities also contribute positively to preserving and promoting the tradition of close connection with nature, building a green, clean, and beautiful environment, and fostering a cultured lifestyle in residential areas.

The main tasks of the Ornamental Plant Association in 2012 were: launching the 2012 Tree Planting Festival; organizing the "Spring Ornamental Plant Festival"; holding the 2nd Provincial Ornamental Plant Association Congress; establishing Association branches in the remaining districts; expanding membership and attracting new members; developing ornamental plants into a high-income profession and economic sector...
