In the early days of its establishment, despite facing extremely difficult and arduous realities, poor facilities, outdated and rudimentary equipment... however, with a passion for the profession, determination to overcome difficulties, for the sake of water serving production and people's daily life, officers and engineers of Nghe An Irrigation Consulting Joint Stock Company fulfilled the requirements of completing the irrigation system in the area, while designing techniques to prepare for the construction of many irrigation works with diverse types, large scale, and complex techniques.
In that difficult, "all beginnings are difficult" situation, a series of irrigation works were designed and built by the unit, creating a strong impression. Typical examples include Vuc Mau lake with a capacity of 75 million m3, this is a lake with a spillway that discharges floodwaters in a deep discharge style using a bow gate, requiring high precision; Ke Go lake irrigation canal system; large drainage systems such as: Vach Bac with Bau Du trough, Vach Nam drainage, large pumping stations such as Hung Chau, Hung Loi...

The initial hardships and difficulties were only temporarily overcome when the historic flood in 1978 broke many dams and canals, requiring quick repairs and restoration to serve production. Natural disasters tested the will and determination of the staff and engineers working on irrigation design. During the day, they measured and surveyed the site, and at night, under kerosene lamps, the technical staff of the unit worked hard to calculate in order to promptly transfer the design drawings to the ink drawing and printing department. A large amount of survey and design work for irrigation works was completed to meet the requirements of agricultural production and people's daily life.
Entering the innovation phase, requires the generation of irrigation consultants of the Company to quickly change from thinking to action to adapt to new conditions. During this phase, many investment capital sources for irrigation were attracted and the Company also rose to meet the requirements of international standards on survey and design procedures to maximize this capital source.
A large number of design survey procedures were met promptly and with quality, including many large-scale and technically complex renovation and repair projects such as: Dien Thanh and Dien Thuy culverts (Dien Chau), Khe Da reservoir (Tan Ky), Ke Coc - Khe Nha irrigation systems (Quy Chau), Nam Giai (Que Phong); construction of dozens of new large and small dams and reservoirs: the headworks and canals of Sao River (Nghia Dan) with a capacity of 51 million m3, Cua Tho Trai Tieu reservoir (Can Loc) with a capacity of 18 million m3 and repair and upgrade of the Northern irrigation system, the Southern irrigation system, the irrigation canals of Ke Go Lake (Cam Xuyen), Song Rac (Ky Anh); upgrading the headworks and canals of Linh Cam pumping station; construction of a new Cau Cao pumping station (Can Loc); Muong Phin irrigation system in Xavanakhet province, Laos...
The unit's breakthrough development began in 2003 when it transformed from a state-owned enterprise to a joint stock company with dynamism, autonomy, and proactive innovation of machinery and equipment, increasing its capacity and efficiency in survey and design documentation.
By clearly identifying "technological innovation to create breakthroughs", the Company has focused on implementing a strategy of scientific and technological innovation in the field of surveying, designing and constructing irrigation works. The Company proactively invests in modern equipment and machinery, upgrades and installs application software, replaces all old, outdated, low-configuration equipment and replaces it with new, modern, high-configuration equipment to meet production and business requirements.
Currently, in addition to 60 high-configuration computer systems and dozens of laptops, A0 color printers, and scanners, the Company also invests in purchasing new, modern equipment for topographical, geological, and experimental surveys such as the new generation XY1A geological foundation exploration drilling machine with many features and functions and can drill up to a depth of 180 m, ultrasonic depth gauge, concrete compression drilling machine, soil and rock permeability meter... Along with that, the Company focuses on developing human resources, sending staff for training, acquiring new techniques and technologies in management, recruiting young staff, training, and retraining according to professional and task requirements. In addition to the current staff to supplement human resources with annual experience, the Company signs contracts with a number of experts with capacity, experience, and high professional qualifications from related units or who have retired from working at the Company to act as experts for the younger generation and help evaluate technical documents.
Due to the incentive mechanism and favorable conditions for development, the Company's leadership and scientific and technical staff are very dynamic, creative, ready to take on difficult tasks, strive to go anywhere, to any location, to any project, and devote all their energy, capacity, and enthusiasm to complete the task.
During this time, many irrigation projects and works have been successfully designed, repaired and upgraded, continuing to make the unit's mark such as: repairing and upgrading the Anh Son, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Yen Thanh lake clusters, SCNC Kim Son-Song Tri reservoir, Moc Huong - Da Cat (Ky Anh - Ha Tinh) ..., especially Vuc Mau reservoir calculated to ensure extreme flood safety (PMF), building Khe La reservoir (Tan Ky), Song Sao canal system phase 2, Mong village reservoir canal system, Khe Lai lake to supplement water source for Vuc Mau lake, drainage system for the color area for 3 districts Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Da Han lake (Ha Tinh) ... Currently, the company is consulting on upgrading and repairing the Bac Nghe An irrigation system with Japanese capital (JAICA) with a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND.
Thanks to that, the unit's annual production and business always achieve a fast growth rate and develop comprehensively and sustainably. From 2006 to 2010 alone, all indicators increased 3 times: Total output increased from 6.4 billion VND to 20 billion VND; revenue from 6.2 billion VND to 18.28 billion VND; budget contribution from 436 million VND to 1.803 billion VND; creating stable jobs for employees with income from 2.5 million VND to 5.0 million VND/person/month; dividends from 15.2% to 25.6%.
In recognition of the outstanding efforts of the Company's leadership, staff and employees over the years, Nghe An Irrigation Consulting Joint Stock Company has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party and the State: Third-class Labor Medal (1996); Second-class Labor Medal (2001); and has been awarded many emulation flags by the Government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, etc.
The Company's Party Cell has continuously achieved the title of Excellent Party Cell, and has been commended by the Nghe An Business Bloc Party Committee as a typical example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example. The Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has awarded the flag "Excellent Party Cell for 5 consecutive years 2006-2010"; the Trade Union and Youth Union have continuously been recognized as strong and excellent.
