(Baonghean.vn) - This year, farmers in Xã Đoài commune (Nghi Diên district, Nghi Lộc district) are promised a prosperous Tet holiday as their orange orchards have yielded a bountiful harvest and fetched good prices.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hao (Hamlet 9, Nghi Dien) is the household with the most orange trees in the area, with over 100 trees. With proper investment and meticulous care, his family is now satisfied with an unexpectedly bountiful harvest. The joy is further amplified by the fact that this year's oranges sold for the highest price in many years.

Mr. Hao said: "My family just sold 2,000 oranges to a company from Ho Chi Minh City at a price of 45,000 VND per orange. This price is about 10,000 VND higher than last year. We still have nearly 50 oranges left in the orchard." According to Mr. Hao, all the oranges sold were pre-ordered by customers since... last Tet (Lunar New Year). After being harvested from the trees, the oranges are carefully packaged in boxes for transport to the South. "I've never seen oranges with such high prices and easy sales as this year," Mr. Nguyen Duy Hao said excitedly.

People are delighted because this year's orange harvest is abundant and the prices are good.

In Xã Đoài commune, besides Mr. Hảo's family, who owns the largest orange orchard, there are about 20 other households growing oranges on a smaller scale, with 5-6 trees each. Although the quantity is small, the bumper crop has brought high incomes to the farmers. At this time, traders from many places have flocked to Xã Đoài to "hunt" for oranges to sell in Vinh and other places. Many traders are willing to pay up to 50,000 VND per orange to try and buy them, but they are finding it difficult to purchase due to the limited quantity and the fact that almost all of them have already been sold.
