(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon, January 15th, in the third round of the Super League qualifiers, in a dramatic match, the home team SLNA drew 2-2 with the visiting team Hanoi T&T in the final seconds of injury time.

The match was exciting with many beautiful plays from both teams.

Claiming that referee Vu Bao Linh unfairly penalized the home team in several situations during the match, the Vinh City audience booed vehemently. After the match, thousands of fans surrounded stand A to protest the referee's biased officiating.

They claimed that the referee had helped Hanoi T&T secure a draw against SLNA by extending injury time, allowing the visiting team to score a controversial equalizer. Some overzealous fans even threw water bottles at the referee. It took over an hour of police protection for the refereeing team to leave Vinh Stadium.

But the referee's lack of impartiality led to controversial plays.

The retaliatory fouls left players from both teams lying on the ground or being carried off on stretchers, with SLNA's central defender Huy Hoang having to be taken straight to the hospital.

SLNA's coaching staff reacted strongly to the referee.

It took police intervention for the refereeing team to leave the field amidst jeers from the spectators.

Not only the fans, but also SLNA's assistant coach Anh Tuan reacted strongly in the second half when the referee was too lenient in the foul committed by Samson against Trong Hoang, and the coach was asked to leave the field. At the end of the match, SLNA's coach Huu Thang and the management surrounded the refereeing team to protest the situation that led to Hanoi T&T's equalizer, making the score 2-2. The SLNA coaching staff argued that the incident occurred after the 3-minute added time and should have been a throw-in, but the referee instead awarded Hanoi T&T a corner kick!

In the post-match press conference, Coach Huu Thang stated: "We will file a complaint with the tournament organizers regarding the referee's 'deliberate' officiating. This is unacceptable, but for the sake of football's development, we are forced to do so." Meanwhile, the visiting team's coach, Phan Thanh Hung, argued that "In this match, the referee was not decisive from the start with dangerous tackles from players of both teams, leading to unnecessary retaliatory clashes."

So, even in just the third round, the referees have already stirred up controversy in the Super League right on the pitch in Vinh!
