According to the report of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the budget mobilized to give Tet gifts to people with meritorious services during the 2012 Lunar New Year is nearly 30 billion VND. Of which, gifts from the President for 100,676 beneficiaries are nearly 21 billion VND; gifts from the provincial budget are nearly 1.5 billion VND; gifts from the budgets of districts and cities are 6.7 billion VND. In addition, the province also mobilized socialization to give gifts to policy beneficiaries; proposed the Central Government to provide 9,000 tons of rice to support 143,739 poor households during the Lunar New Year. The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has also sent documents to departments, branches, districts, cities, towns, and enterprises in the province to urge and direct the payment of salaries, bonuses, and increase income for workers during the 2012 Lunar New Year.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong requested agencies, departments, and localities to coordinate well in the work of gratitude, visiting and encouraging people with meritorious services, and taking good care of social security during Tet. All policies for these subjects must be transferred no later than December 25, 2011.
