Speed ​​up planning of economic zones and industrial parks in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - With the goal of speeding up the completion of planning for economic zones (EZs) and industrial parks (IPs) in Nghe An province, in recent times, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone has actively contributed to attracting the attention of businesses in the field of investment in developing technical infrastructure for industrial parks.

The Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone (EZ) was established by the Government on June 11, 2007 under Decision No. 85/2007/QD-TTg, with a natural area of ​​18,826 hectares, including 10 communes in Nghi Loc district, 6 communes in Dien Chau district and 2 wards of Nghi Tan and Nghi Thuy in Cua Lo town.

In order to carry out the assigned tasks, in 2011, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone has deployed the detailed planning of 8 functional areas (including: Detailed planning of Areas A, D - Nam Cam Industrial Park expansion; Urban areas No. 1, 2 in the North and 3, 4 in the South; Approval of 2 investment projects for Water Plants). The detailed planning of the duty-free zone is currently continuing to adjust the planning. Areas B, C - Tho Loc Industrial Park have completed the documents and are being submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. The Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone also deployed the planning of resettlement areas to serve the site clearance of traffic routes N2, D4, N5, and resettlement areas of Dong Hoi Industrial Park.

The issue of detailed planning of industrial parks in the province is currently being actively implemented. Currently, detailed planning has been organized for 3 industrial parks. The planning of Tan Ky and Song Dinh industrial parks has been approved by competent authorities and Nghia Dan industrial park is in the process of adjusting and expanding the planning to an area of ​​675 hectares. Phu Quy industrial park, according to the province's policy, is currently suspending planning and Tri Le industrial park (Anh Son) has not yet approved the location.

Also during the past time, the management board of the Southeast Economic Zone has appraised 26 planning projects of industrial zones, functional areas, specialized planning projects, 11 master plan designs and commented on 16 basic design documents, appraising a reduction of over 10 billion VND; granting 8 planning certificates to qualified investors, agreeing on locations according to the requirements of communes and enterprises in the economic zone and industrial zone.

To complete the detailed planning of the Economic Zone and Industrial Parks in the province, in the coming time, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone will continue to complete the detailed planning of the remaining functional areas in the Southeast Economic Zone in 2012 such as: Detailed planning of the Human Resources Training Area; planning of the electricity and water supply system for the Economic Zone; Planning of the High-Tech Zone.

For industrial parks in the area, planning work will focus on scale and location, especially industrial parks in the Nam Thanh - Bac Nghe region to anticipate the establishment of Hoang Mai - Dong Hoi Economic Zone in the future. The planning of resettlement areas is associated with the construction of worker housing areas in industrial parks and accompanying social service systems, electricity and water supply systems for industrial parks and residential areas... Industries and occupations arranged in each industrial park are based on the advantages of each region, meeting the requirements of industrial parks as the nucleus and driving force for the development of key economic regions (Hoang Mai and Dong Hoi industrial parks of the Hoang Mai - Dong Hoi key region associated with the Nam Thanh - Bac Nghe region; Nghia Dan, Phu Quy, Song Dinh and Tan Ky industrial parks of the Tan Ky - Do Luong - Nghia Dan - Thai Hoa - Quy Hop region associated with the Western Nghe An region).

Good planning will attract businesses to invest in developing technical infrastructure of industrial parks, which is one of the important factors determining the success of economic zones and industrial parks in our province.
