According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, the previously reported cold air mass is continuing to move southward.

Forecasts indicate that around noon and afternoon today (January 30th), this cold air mass will intensify and move down to the northern provinces.

In the early days of the week, the northern provinces were under the influence of a gradually weakening cold high-pressure ridge, causing drizzle and dense fog.

From February 1st and 2nd, the Hanoi area will experience light rain, drizzle, and scattered fog during the night and morning. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. The weather will be very cold. The lowest temperature will be 12-14 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperature will be 14-16 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of the strengthening cold front, there will be light rain in some areas of Northern Vietnam; and rain and light rain in the North and Central Central regions. Northeast winds inland will strengthen to level 3, and level 4 in coastal areas. In the Gulf of Tonkin, from this afternoon onwards, Northeast winds will strengthen to level 5, sometimes level 6, with gusts up to level 7. The sea will be rough.
