(Baonghean) In Hung Nguyen, among the 19 criteria for new rural construction, some criteria are considered difficult to implement, including the criterion of increasing income 1.4 times compared to the average of the whole province. Currently, some localities are confused in striving to achieve this criterion. To find the solution, we surveyed a locality with a movement to consolidate land plots early to bring mechanization into production.

Hung Dao is a commune that has done well in mechanizing agricultural production in Hung Nguyen. The whole commune has more than 100 multi-function plows, 2 combine harvesters, dozens of row harvesters, threshers, sowers... To replace human labor with machines, the fields must first be re-planned. From 2001 to 2002, the commune has carried out land consolidation according to Directive 02 of the Central Committee. Successfully implementing land consolidation, the average household size has decreased from 10-15 plots to 3-4 plots. 15% of households have reduced to 1 plot.

The land consolidation was combined with the re-planning of the fields and the construction of internal traffic. More than 30 km of internal traffic was planned and built. Axis A: 5m, axis B: 4m, axis C: 3m. The commune spent money on planning and marking, and the people spent their labor. In just a short time, 30 km of internal road was completed, with enough conditions to bring machinery to each field. Developing traffic associated with irrigation, Hung Dao's fields were guaranteed timely irrigation. After the planning, people had the conditions to renovate the fields, focus on investment... so the productivity increased significantly, reaching 5-6 tons/ha/crop, helping to improve the lives of workers.

Together with the Head of the Commune Agriculture Committee, Le Van Thanh, I went to Tan Nhuong Cooperative. Nearly half of the commune's motor vehicles were in operation. Mr. To Ngoc Thanh - Head of Hamlet 2A boasted: This year, the hamlet celebrated Tet big. People went to work to earn money, people at home took care of production, raising pigs, chickens... so every family took care of a warm Tet. His hamlet exceeded the income target set by the commune's Resolution of 14 million VND/person/year.

According to Mr. Thanh, the results were achieved thanks to the introduction of mechanization into agricultural production, so productivity increased rapidly, reaching an average of 3.5 tons/sao. On the other hand, machines have replaced humans. Previously, the planting and harvesting season lasted 15-20 days, now it only takes 1 week. The harvesting season has a full service, the machine owner accepts to transport the rice to the yard. Freeing up labor helps people develop their profession. People with jobs go to the city, go to other places to do business. People without jobs stay in the locality to develop livestock farming. Like his family, the children go to school, work far away, only the couple stay at home, in addition to working on 17 sao of rice fields, with machines to shorten the time, he returns to invest in livestock farming.

According to him, the shortened production time has helped him raise a batch of pigs worth about 4 million VND, and some households earn up to 4-50 million VND/year from raising pigs. He hopes that the Textile Factory inMaleThe herd was put into operation early to help his hamlet reduce some of its labor. According to him, solving labor problems is not only aimed at factories and construction sites, but also at the local level, rearranging occupations is a way. The proof is that many households in his hamlet that are good at raising livestock also bring in an annual income of tens of millions of dong, not less than growing rice, and then the service industry opens to be the "output" for agricultural products.

Talking with Mr. Thanh about the problem of increasing income, there was a solution starting from the work of land consolidation, land redistribution, labor force arrangement, industry development... Only by thoroughly solving these problems can the construction of new rural areas be successful.
