Specifically in this group G, besides VietnamMaleand Korea, also with the participation of other teams:Malaysia,Myanmar, Taiwan and Philippines.

The 2013 AFC U-22 Championship qualifiers will take place from June 23 to July 3, 2012, in a round-robin format with points calculated for each group. The first and second teams in each group and the third team with the best results in the qualifying round will then advance to the finals (15 spots), with the remaining tickets going to the host team (not yet determined).

Korea is the most highly rated team and of course the biggest opponent of U-22 Vietnam.Malein the competition for one of two tickets to the final round.

Meanwhile, U-22 Malaysia and U-22 Myanmar are ranked "underdogs", but that does not mean U-22 Vietnam can be complacent. Because in youth football tournaments, the level of the teams is not much different.

If U-22 Vietnam, Malaysia and Myanmar have to face and compete with South Korea to win tickets, U-22 Thailand will face many difficulties when competing with North Korea and China in Group F.

The remaining representatives of Southeast Asia, Indonesia and Singapore, are considered unlikely to have a chance to compete with Australia and Japan in Group E.
