Striving to technically open Ben Thuy 2 bridge to traffic on National Day

(Baonghean) - The Ben Thuy 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project has a total investment of nearly 1,260 billion VND, and was started in March 2010. Currently, ensuring the construction progress of Ben Thuy 2 Bridge is facing many difficulties in terms of capital, site clearance and some other factors. The southern bridgehead area is facing difficulties in organizing resettlement for more than 130 households in Xuan An Town, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province. In addition, changing the design of bridge pier structures to suit actual construction conditions also affects the construction progress.

Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Transport) and Transport Construction Corporation 4 are focusing on speeding up construction progress, closely coordinating with investors, supervision consultants and local authorities to remove obstacles, striving to open technical traffic, and put Ben Thuy 2 Bridge into use on National Day this year (September 2, 2012).
