Quynh Luu: Seafood exploitation output reaches 4,000 tons

(Baonghean) - In the first two months of this year, fishermen in Quynh Luu district exploited 4,000 tons of various seafood, worth over 10 billion VND.

Currently, the whole district has over 2,500 vessels participating in fishing and exploiting aquatic and marine products. Of these, nearly 2,000 vessels have been granted registration and inspection certificates with a capacity of 300-900 CV, meeting the increasingly modern fishing needs in offshore fishing grounds, with more abundant seafood products and high annual export value. In 2011, the total exploitation output of the district reached 33,000 tons, with a value of over 900 billion VND, of which export accounted for nearly 65%.
