(Baonghean.vn) -The Bong Khe - Binh Chuan route to Thach Ngan commune (Con Cuong) was covered in mud during the rain, with many landslides. The route from Ke Trai village to the center of Thach Ngan commune, about 5 km long, was the most terrifying, the mud was so thick that many motorbikes could not move and had to leave their motorbikes with the locals and walk...

Early in the morning, the students, some wearing boots, some walking barefoot, wading through the mud with their books on their backs, many of them fell and got covered in mud, it was pitiful to see. Tran Van Hai, a student at Thach Ngan Secondary School, just fell, still smiling: Every day, some of us fall because the road is slippery, I wonder when there will be asphalt roads so we can ride bicycles? Teacher Le Van Hung, a teacher at the school, said: The road is so difficult to travel, so most of us teachers had to stay behind, we had to bring dried fish and instant noodles as a precaution because when it rains, the road is muddy and we can't go to the market.

Mr. Vi Van Dang in Thanh Binh is carrying his grandchild gingerly through the mud to kindergarten, confiding: Every day I have to carry my grandchild to school, walking carefully, sometimes both he and his grandchild still fall and get their clothes covered in mud. In remote villages such as Tong Xan, Ke Trai… many days the kindergarten students are absent from class because the road is too muddy and parents cannot take them.

Students go to school on muddy roads

Along the road from Dong Tam village to Thanh Binh village, people have to take shortcuts into the gardens of people on both sides to avoid the muddy road. Mr. Ngan Xuan Nhung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Ngan commune added: Currently, the whole commune has 224 hectares of cassava, 82 hectares of sugarcane and 350 hectares of hybrid acacia trees that cannot be sold because the road is muddy, trucks get stuck in the mud and sometimes cannot get out for 2-3 days. Not being able to sell raw materials makes the life of Thach Ngan people even more difficult, the land is not cleared to plant new raw materials for the next crop.

Faced with the above situation, after the Lunar New Year, the People's Committee of Thach Ngan commune mobilized over 2,000 villagers in Tong Xan, Ke Trai, Thanh Binh, Xom Moi... to participate in road repair. However, it only fixed landslides, the amount of mud and soil was too much to dredge. Thach Ngan also benefited from the road from Tan Ky through Anh Son connecting to the commune, but now the road surface has also been damaged. To avoid the muddy road, to get to the district center, many people have to go around to Thanh Son commune of Anh Son district to get to National Highway 7A and then travel 17 km to reach Con Cuong town.

People have to pay toll when crossing this bamboo bridge.

But to go through this road, people have to go through a fragile bamboo bridge over a stream, each time both people and vehicles have to pay 2,000 VND/trip. Mr. Le Nghia in Hamlet 7, Thanh Son Commune (Anh Son) built this bridge himself, so he collects money, every day collecting from 1 to 1.5 million VND in tolls.

According to Ms. Phan Thi T. (a resident of Thach Ngan): The villagers wanted to build a temporary bridge to save on transportation costs, but they couldn't because this is the territory of Anh Son district.
