(Baonghean.vn) -Today, June 25, Nghe An Police in coordination with Nghe An Women's Union summarized 5 years of implementing Joint Resolution 01 on "management and education of children in the family not to commit crimes and social evils" in the period 2008-2012. Attending were representatives of the Ministry of Public Security. On the province side, there was comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Over the past 5 years, Nghe An police force has coordinated with women's unions at all levels, sectors, and organizations to propagate, educate, and raise legal awareness for the masses, actively participate in the fight against crime in residential areas, and manage and educate children in families to not commit crimes and social evils. Women's Union members and people have provided the police force with tens of thousands of sources of information, helping the police investigate and clarify nearly 3,000 drug-related crimes, arrest nearly 1,200 subjects, arrest and persuade 800 wanted subjects to surrender; organize drug rehabilitation for nearly 5,400 drug addicts, and participate in managing and educating over 2,000 subjects in communes, wards, and towns; coordinate with families and schools to organize socio-political organizations to create records to manage, reform, and educate nearly 600 children, and persuade over 7,000 drop-out students to return to school.


Along with that, the Women's Union also directed Women's Unions at all levels to maintain the quality of grassroots club activities and replicate a number of advanced models and examples of crime prevention and social evils. Up to now, the whole province has built nearly 900 clubs, mainly clubs for preventing drug abuse, crime and social evils, women's clubs with the law, and domestic violence prevention clubs; the "5 no, 3 clean" models in the union levels have been maintained and have been effective in educating children not to violate the law and commit social evils...

On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union and 1 individual were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security; 10 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in managing and educating children in families to avoid crimes and social evils in the period 2008-2012.
