Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station with the Program "Warm home for the poor"

(Baonghean.vn) - In addition to performing well the task of protecting the country's borders, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station (Thanh Chuong) has actively carried out a campaign for the poor associated with the content of "learning and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh".

Major Nguyen Hoang Nam - Political Commissar of Thanh Thuy Border Gate Station (Thanh Chuong, Nghe An) said: During the implementation of the campaign "Warm homes for the poor in border and island areas" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Border Guard Command and the People's Army Newspaper, officers and soldiers of the Station have donated together with mass organizations to build 12 solidarity houses for poor households in the area, of which 6 houses were mobilized and contributed entirely by officers and soldiers of the Station.

From the results of the campaign "Warm home for the poor at the border", officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy border post continue to maintain fundraising activities to help comrades in difficulty, supporting poor people to develop the economy. Therefore, in the collective activities of the post, fundraising activities with the theme "saving spending to help the poor" are carried out by each officer and soldier with a very high spirit of volunteerism.

Holding coins in his hand to put into the savings box, soldier Vo Dinh Truong shared: My teammates and I are very happy to know that our small amount of money has contributed to helping poor households improve their lives.

This activity was carried out by many border posts along the border of Nghe An province in association with the implementation of the content of "studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh". The companionship of border guards with the people at the border has contributed to building a strong military-civilian bond, building a solid people's border defense posture along the Fatherland's border.
