Accordingly, school start times can be adjusted 30 minutes earlier or later, depending on each class.
Yesterday afternoon, May 3, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training issued document 761 on heat and heatstroke prevention for students during the summer of 2012, allowing schools in the area to adjust their school hours according to weather conditions and their curriculum. Morning classes can start 30 minutes earlier and afternoon classes can start 30 minutes later than the regulations to avoid the heat for students.
In addition, the document clearly states the responsibility of schools to always remind students to wear hats and wide-brimmed hats when going to school, bring enough drinking water, in a hygienic manner, to prevent heatstroke; Do not organize outdoor extracurricular activities in hot weather, activities such as physical education, sports... must be done in the shade. Homeroom teachers need to remind parents to pay attention to students with poor health, especially preschool and primary school students. School health units must fully prepare equipment, tools, medicines, lemonade, ginger tea... to promptly handle cases of heatstroke and sunstroke among students.
