Focus on accelerating the construction of rural transport

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 22, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for New Rural Development of Nghe An province held a regular meeting. Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting, attended by members of the steering committee.

The report of the Steering Committee Office said: By May 15, the whole province had 395/428 communes that had approved the general planning, reaching more than 90%, 225 communes had developed projects, 394 communes had established detailed planning. The total budget allocated to communes to build production models was 6,650 billion VND for 133 communes, 98 communes had built key agricultural product models. Through the evaluation of livestock models (23) with relatively clear effectiveness, income increased by 10-20%, crop models increased by 7-20%... The conference also listened to the opinions of delegates to contribute ideas to speed up the construction of new rural areas.

Concluding the conference, comrade Dinh Viet Hong directed the tasks that need to be focused on in the coming time: Continue to promote propaganda work, focus on typical examples of land donation for road construction, rural traffic construction, urge localities to organize launching ceremonies to join hands in building new rural areas, communes that have not approved the planning need to quickly complete it no later than June 30, re-examine production models. Each district selects 2 communes to mobilize resources for rural traffic construction. The Department of Transport provides technical guidance and standards for communes to carry out rural traffic construction. The Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance develop a mechanism to mobilize cement for road construction for selected communes.
