Hung Dung Ward organizes many activities to celebrate War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27, Hung Dung Ward (Vinh City) organized many practical activities to pay tribute to those who sacrificed for the Fatherland.

The ward has supported the cost of repairing houses for 5 policy families, each house worth 7.5 million VND, built a house of gratitude for Mr. Pham Duc Toan, a 1/4 war invalid in Xuan Nam block worth 45 million VND, renovated the martyrs' memorial and the cemetery for people with meritorious services in the ward. Supported the cost for 18 residential blocks to organize seminars and meetings with policy families, each block worth 7 million VND. Organized for 18 war invalids, sick soldiers, typical policy families and 11 seriously wounded soldiers to visit the old battlefields in Hue, Quang Tri and Truong Son cemetery.

In addition, the ward's mass organizations also visited policy families, each mass organization registered to give 2 to 3 savings books. The ward's youth union organized environmental sanitation at the memorial house, the cemetery of meritorious people, historical sites: Duc Thanh Dam Mu Nuoi Tomb, Trung Temple, Cay Sanh Pagoda Nia, etc. The total cost was taken from the budget and the Compensation Fund, with an amount of nearly 500 million VND.
