Summary of the first round of university and college entrance exam supervision
(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, July 5, the Vinh Inter-School Examination Council summarized the work of invigilating the first round of university and college entrance exams in 2012.
In the first round this year, at Vinh examination cluster, there were 31,116 candidates taking the exam out of a total of 47,020 candidates registered to take the exam, reaching a rate of 66.36%. At the end of the first round, the entire Vinh examination cluster had 110 candidates who dropped out of the exam; 8 candidates who violated the exam regulations were suspended; of which 7 candidates were suspended for bringing cell phones into the exam room; 1 candidate brought a weapon into the exam room to threaten the candidate next to him to copy the test (3 cases for Vinh University; 2 cases for Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education; 1 case for National Economics University; 1 case for Foreign Trade University; 1 case for Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry). Compared to previous years, the rate of candidates violating the regulations at Vinh examination cluster increased insignificantly; especially the rate of "fake" candidates was significantly reduced.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Head of the Inspection Team of the Ministry of Education and Training at the Vinh examination cluster assessed: The exam took place safely and seriously, demonstrated in all aspects: preparation, invigilation, and exam protection were carried out carefully by the Vinh examination cluster, affirming that the 3 general policies of the Ministry of Education and Training are correct and effective. Especially the active, effective and highly responsible participation of relevant departments, including the youth and student volunteers to support the exam season.
At the summary meeting, the Vinh examination cluster steering committee also drew lessons and made recommendations for better organization of the second round of university and college entrance exams. It was requested that schools fully participate in the inter-school examination council meetings and steering committees in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; there should be closer coordination in the organization of the exams; a secretary should be assigned to compile exam data and update information related to the exams... The recommendations of the Vinh examination cluster steering committee will be studied by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training to find appropriate solutions for the following exams.
