Russia successfully tested new intercontinental ballistic missile

AFP reported that Interfax news agency quoted Russian Strategic Nuclear Forces spokesman Vadim Koval as saying that Russia on May 23 successfully test-launched an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of penetrating current defense systems developed by NATO.

"The dummy warhead reached the target area at the Kura test site on the Kamchatka Peninsula. All the set objectives of the launch were achieved," spokesman Koval said.
