Cambodia awards Friendship Medal to 5 Vietnamese groups and individuals

The Medal receiving ceremony took place solemnly on the morning of July 13 in Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province.

Welcoming the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations, 3 individuals and 2 groups of Kon Tum province were honored to receive the Friendship Medal of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

At the ceremony, General Bou Thoong, authorized by the King and the Royal Government of Cambodia, awarded the Friendship Medal of King Norodom Sihamoni to Mr. Ha Ban - Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the People's Council of Kon Tum province; Mr. So Lay Tang, Ms. Y Veng, former: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Kon Tum province.



General Bou Thoong awarded the Friendship Medal to the Kon Tum Military Command.

Also at the ceremony, General Bou Thoong, representative of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, awarded the Friendship Medal to the Kon Tum Provincial Military Command and Police.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Bou Thoong acknowledged the great contributions of the ethnic people of Kon Tum and Gia Lai provinces in particular and Vietnam in general, who stood shoulder to shoulder and helped the Cambodian people in the resistance wars against invaders and the Pol Pot genocidal regime.

The General emphasized: "Our next mission is to maintain peace, unite and develop together"./.
