Launching "Workers' Month" in 2012

(Baonghean.vn)Today, April 7, 2012, at the Golden Pig Premium Animal Feed Joint Stock Company (Nam Cam Industrial Zone), the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union organized the launching ceremony for the 2012 "Workers' Month" and announced the decision to establish the Nam Cam Industrial Zone Labor Union.

Attending the ceremony were Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Labor Union, provincial departments and agencies, and a large number of workers from the Southeast Economic Zone.

The speech delivered at the ceremony reviewed the history of the Vietnamese working class's struggle throughout the long history of building and defending the Fatherland. Along with workers nationwide, in recent years, the working class in Nghe An has undergone significant changes, rapidly increasing in number, diversifying in structure, and improving in quality; the intellectual worker segment is also growing larger.

With a spirit of dedication to work, the workforce continues to play its role and make significant contributions to the building of a prosperous and beautiful homeland, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 20/NQ-TƯ of the 6th Central Committee Conference (10th term) on "Continuing to build the Vietnamese working class in the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization". Over 150,000 workers and employees, including 89,000 workers in enterprises, consistently strive for excellence in labor, creativity, increased productivity, and strict adherence to labor discipline.

The 2012 Workers' Month will focus on the following main activities: Continuing to effectively implement the "Learning and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"; Promoting the emulation movement for excellent and creative labor; Organizing activities to disseminate laws and policies to workers; Organizing dialogues between workers and employers; Encouraging union members to contribute ideas to improve production and business efficiency; Strengthening cultural and artistic exchange activities; Strengthening activities to visit and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances...

At the launching ceremony, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor Unions announced the Decision to establish the Southeast Economic Zone Labor Union with 16 grassroots union organizations and 2204 members. The establishment of this labor union will contribute to protecting the rights and interests of workers.

At the end of the ceremony, the Provincial Labor Union presented 20 gifts to workers in the Southeast Economic Zone who had excellently completed their assigned tasks in 2011.
