Diplomatic Academy established the East Sea Institute

According to the Decision29/2012/QD-TTgAccording to the Prime Minister's Decision effective from September 1, 2012, the Diplomatic Academy has 17 affiliated units instead of 16 affiliated units as at present. In particular, the Diplomatic Academy has a new unit, the East Sea Institute.

The 16 other affiliated units of the Diplomatic Academy are kept the same as the previous organizational structure, including: 1- Institute for Diplomatic Strategic Studies; 2- Center for Training and Fostering Foreign Affairs Cadres; 3- Center for Information and Documentation; 4- Office; 5- Department of Science Management; 6- Department of Training; 7- Department of Political Work and Student Management; 8- Faculty of Postgraduate Training; 9- Faculty of Political Theory; 10- Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy; 11- Faculty of International Economics; 12- Faculty of International Law; 13- Faculty of Communication and Foreign Culture; 14- Faculty of English; 15- Faculty of French; 16- Faculty of Chinese.

The promulgation of the Charter on organization and operation; regulations on functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of affiliated units; appointment, dismissal, and removal of heads and deputy heads of the Diplomatic Academy and affiliated units shall comply with the provisions of law.

Decision 29/2012/QD-TTg takes effect from September 1, 2012.

This new Decision amends and supplements Article 3.Decision 82/2008/QD-TTgDecree dated June 23, 2008 of the Prime Minister regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
