24 year old woman gives birth to 3 boys at the same time

Ba Thuoc District General Hospital has just successfully delivered a woman who gave birth to triplets using traditional methods. This is the first case of triplets in Ba Thuoc in the past 50 years. The mother of triplets is Ms. Truong Thi Bay (24 years old, residing in Luong Trung commune, Ba Thuoc district). Previously, on June 5, Ms. Bay was brought to the hospital by her family in a state of severe abdominal pain and labor because her due date was approaching.

Immediately after receiving the patient, the doctors performed an ultrasound and determined that Ms. Bay was pregnant with triplets. This was a rare case so the pregnant woman was closely monitored.

At nearly 4 p.m. the same day, Ms. Bay gave birth to her first baby boy, weighing 2 kg. About an hour later, Ms. Bay gave birth to her second baby boy, weighing 1.5 kg. A few minutes later, Ms. Bay gave birth to her third baby boy, weighing 1.65 kg.

The delivery was successful, and both the mother and the newborns were safe after birth. After birth, all three babies were transferred to the Neonatal Department's special treatment room to be placed in an incubator, put on a ventilator, and monitored and cared for by doctors, as all three newborn boys were underweight, weak, and showed signs of respiratory failure.

Doctors said this is the first case of triplets in Ba Thuoc district in the past 50 years.

By June 10, under the special care of doctors, the health of the three newborn boys is progressing well, the babies are eating normally. It is known that in 2010, Ms. Bay gave birth for the first time, a baby girl. The family is a farmer and the economy is difficult, so taking care of three newborn boys at the same time is really too much for Ms. Bay's family.
