The official minimum admission scores for the university entrance exam have been announced.

Accordingly, the minimum admission scores for each exam block are as follows: Block A, A1: 13; B: 14; C: 14.5; D: 13.5. The minimum admission scores for the college level program are: Block A, A1: 10; B: 11; C: 11.5; D: 10.5.
The above minimum score applies to high school students in Region 3.
For each priority area and priority group, the minimum score will be determined by applying the priority points as stipulated in current regulations.
Thus, the minimum admission scores for blocks A and B this year are the same as last year; for blocks C and D, the minimum admission scores increased by 0.5 points.
With a minimum admission score of 13 for khối A and A1, according to data from the Department of Examination and Quality Assurance in Education, approximately 125,000 out of 167,000 candidates will be admitted in their first choice. For khối B, if the minimum score is 14, 29,000 out of 32,000 candidates will be admitted in their first choice. For khối C, with a minimum score of 14.5, approximately 19,000 out of 22,700 candidates will be admitted in their first choice. For khối D, with a minimum score of 13.5, approximately 45,000 out of 57,000 candidates will be admitted in their first choice.
After the Ministry announces the minimum admission scores, universities will announce the official cut-off scores for each major, the list of admitted candidates, and the quotas for supplementary applications.
Regarding the supplementary admission opportunities for candidates, Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga expressed his view: The Ministry of Education and Training encourages schools to allocate 15-20% of their quotas for supplementary admissions.
Setting a minimum passing score to fill 100% of the first-choice enrollment quota may shorten the admissions period, but it misses the opportunity to recruit candidates with higher exam scores who failed to get into other schools in their first choice.
