Quynh Lien harvests nearly 2,500 tons of chayote.

(Baonghean)This year, farmers in Quynh Lien commune (Quynh Luu district) have planted over 100 hectares of chayote during the winter-spring season. Currently in the peak season, Quynh Lien commune supplies over 100 tons of chayote daily to markets inside and outside the province through 18 local purchasing agents.

Since the beginning of the year, Quynh Lien commune has harvested nearly 2,500 tons of fruit, worth 11 billion VND. It is estimated that from now until the end of the season, the commune will harvest approximately 1,000 tons of fruit, yielding about 5 billion VND. This is truly a crop that helps alleviate poverty for the people in the coastal area of ​​Quynh Lien commune.
