(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the 122nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2012), this afternoon in Vinh City, Nghe An Radio and Television Station held an inauguration ceremony and put into use a 20 KW-VHF television transmitter. Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Cong Duong - Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office and representatives of several provincial-level sectors.

In order to improve the efficiency of television broadcasting in the region, Nghe An Radio and Television Station was approved by the provincial leaders for the "Project to invest in purchasing and installing a 20 KW television transmitter". The project was invested with more than 12 billion VND, implemented according to the plan in 6 months and was completed 1 month ahead of schedule. The CTC-AD03203DEX-L television transmitter is a color television transmitter, cooled by liquid, transmitting alternately in two modes: Analog (analog) and Digital (digital), manufactured by the Communications and Television Development Joint Stock Company (CTC) using advanced technology. The transmitter has a power amplifier that is 2 times the current transmitting capacity and can operate under the worst environmental conditions with minimal maintenance, ensuring stable broadcasting of image and sound when the power supply drops, and power backup for more than 20 minutes.
The 20 KW television transmitter project put into use has made an important contribution to improving the quality and expanding the coverage of Nghe An Television - NTV. In particular, it is meaningful to meet the needs of poor households in nearly 10 districts in the province, using normal antennas to receive the province's broadcast programs.
