Summary and award ceremony of the contest "Learning about the life and career of comrades Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai"

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, August 25, in Hung Nguyen, the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the contest "Learning about the life and career of comrade Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai" took place. Attending the ceremony were comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches, sectors and unions and a large number of youth union members.



Welcome performance

The contest was launched by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee on June 8, 2012 in two forms: multiple choice and essay, and was widely publicized in the media. The contest content was included in the monthly activities and discussions of the Youth Union branches and associations and became a widespread political activity among all levels of the Youth Union and Youth Union members in the whole province.

After 8 weeks of implementation, there were 50,581 participants answering multiple choice questions with 22,441 correct answers. After the preliminary round, nearly 3,000 quality entries were selected for grading and ranking. The contest has had a strong influence in society, besides the youth force being the main force, the contest also had the participation of components such as the Farmers' Association, Women's Association, Veterans' Association, and Elderly Association. Many units such as Hung Nguyen, Vinh City, Youth Union of Provincial Agencies, Quynh Luu... had a large number of quality entries. Many entries showed their dedication, hard work in collecting documents, pictures, creativity and provided some valuable materials about the life and career of comrades Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.

The contest has aroused pride, gratitude and raised awareness among young people about the life, career, steadfast revolutionary will, upright spirit, pure morality, merits and great contributions of General Secretary Le Hong Phong and comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation, to the international communist and workers' movement on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of General Secretary Le Hong Phong's birth (September 6, 1902 - September 6, 2012).

At the end of the contest, in the writing competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 5 third prizes, 10 consolation prizes to individuals and 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, 2 consolation prizes to groups. The first prize for the individual writing competition belonged to Le Thi Thu Nga (Hung Loc ward - Vinh city). In the multiple choice competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 8 first prizes, 16 second prizes, 24 third prizes and 40 consolation prizes.
