Upon receiving Official Letter No. 373/PC.BĐ.BNA dated August 2, 2012, from Nghe An Newspaper regarding the petition of Mr. Tran Van Mat, son of Mrs. Dau Thi Em (Dau Thi Tan), born in 1912 in Dang Son commune (Do Luong district) - who rowed a boat to transport soldiers, wounded soldiers, ammunition, and necessities across the Lam River during the two wars of resistance against France and the United States, but has not yet received the benefits for meritorious individuals; on August 10, 2012, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs sent Official Letter No. 439/NCC to the People's Committee of Do Luong district as follows:

On May 29, 2012, the Nghe An Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Document No. 863/LĐ-TB&XH requesting the Do Luong District Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to verify the contributions of Mrs. Tan, and to propose a plan to relevant agencies to consider and resolve the matter in accordance with Regulation No. 69/2006/QĐ-UB-VX dated July 19, 2006, of the Provincial People's Committee on the assignment and decentralization of management and implementation of some policies and regimes for people with meritorious services to the revolution. However, to date, there has been no response. Therefore, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs requests that the Do Luong District People's Committee direct the Do Luong District Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to investigate, consider, and resolve the matter, and report to the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Newspaper, and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs before August 2012.
