Strengthening the urging to resolve voters' petitions

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, September 28, under the chairmanship of comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a regular meeting in September to evaluate the activities of the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council committees in September; deploy tasks and solutions for October. Attending were comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In September, the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees supervised and surveyed focusing on the implementation of the Provincial People's Council's resolutions related to socio-economics, national defense and security; issues arising in social life. For example, surveying the implementation of a number of key investment attraction projects in the province in the Southeast economic zone, Bac Vinh and Nam Cam industrial parks and a number of enterprises in the area; monitoring the quality of medical examination and treatment at medical centers, regional polyclinics and commune and town health stations; the implementation of the "one-stop" and "one-stop" mechanisms at a number of departments, branches and districts; recruitment, training and use of cadres in the form of nomination; surveying the settlement of backlog of petitions, complaints and denunciations of citizens; inspect the implementation of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council and the implementation of financial expenditures of the People's Council in a number of districts.... In addition, the Standing Committee and Committees of the Provincial People's Council have also maintained regular activities such as training on operational skills for People's Council delegates at district and commune levels; organizing public receptions and urging all levels and sectors to resolve petitions and denunciations of citizens.

At the meeting, delegates raised a number of pressing issues and shortcomings that were arising in practice and that had been discovered through the process of monitoring, surveying, and contacting voters. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong explained and continued the opinions raised by the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees, and emphasized that they would inspect and rectify them in the coming time.

Concluding the conference, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh emphasized: The October tasks of the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees need to proactively review issues related to mineral exploitation management and licensing; projects with land granted but not yet implemented; a number of urgent and prominent cases in the spirit of reviewing the Central Resolution 4 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. Strengthen the urging to resolve voters' recommendations.

He also requested the People's Committee to focus on implementing the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council issued at the 4th session; pay attention to resolving recommendations, monitoring and survey results of the Standing Committee and Committees of the Provincial People's Council as well as resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens; urge and direct the implementation of the targets and plans for 2012 set by the Provincial People's Council.
