The people looking for teammates

(Baonghean.vn) -Nearly 42 years after the K5 campaign (a campaign to help Laos during the years of resistance against the US to save the country) ended, the country has changed dramatically, but there are still martyrs who have not been brought back to their motherland...

With the steadfast determination of the Nghe An Border Guard officers and soldiers to find and bring back their comrades who sacrificed their lives in the K5 campaign, in the last days of June 2012, we marched following the soldiers of the Military Command's grave collection group of martyrs of Nghe An province in the land of a million elephants with the help of CANDVT veterans (people's armed police), now Border Guards who participated in the K5 campaign and the people of Laos, overcoming many difficulties, hardships, differences in climate, weather, customs, language, climbing mountains and wading streams, sometimes even facing unexploded bombs and mines still lying in the ground to find and bring back our comrades who are lying somewhere in the neighboring country.

A series of photos reflecting the search for martyrs of the People's Public Security Forces who died in the K5 campaign on the battlefield in Laos.
