Vinh City won first prize at the 2012 Population Propaganda Festival.

(Baonghean.vn) - After 2 exciting days, last night (August 10, 2012), the 2012 Population Propaganda Festival closed. Attending were Dr. Tran Thi Hoa Mai, former Director General of the General Department of Population and Family Planning of Vietnam; representatives of provincial departments, branches, and sectors, and representatives of leaders of urban districts.

According to the judges' assessment, in the greeting and knowledge contest, in addition to demonstrating their understanding of population policy and family planning, the teams highlighted the results achieved in implementing population work in their localities, imparting creative ways of doing things, practical experience in handling common situations in mobilizing people to implement population and family planning policies; models of integrating population communication and health care for people with good results... In particular, in the talent contest, most of the teams were well prepared, the skits accurately reflected the current situation that still exists in society such as: high birth rate, male preference, early marriage, party members violating population policy... Through the skits, the propagandists sent meaningful messages to the audience about building a prosperous society and happy families.

First prize awarded to Vinh city unit

As a result, the first prize of the 2012 provincial population propaganda festival was awarded to Vinh City; the second prize went to 3 teams: Thai Hoa, Thanh Chuong, Dien Chau. The organizing committee also awarded 5 third prizes and 11 consolation prizes to the remaining teams.
