Thai Hoa City Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, first congress

(Baonghean.vn) -On September 24, at the Thai Hoa Town Party Committee Hall, the 1st Congress of Thai Hoa Town Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims, term 2012 - 2017, took place.

Attending the event were leaders of the Town, departments and 45 delegates who were veterans infected with toxic chemicals used by the US during the war in Vietnam, representing 189 victims of Agent Orange in the whole town.

In recent times, the Party Committee, the government, departments, organizations and people of the Town have had many practical activities to help victims of Agent Orange/dioxin alleviate their pain and suffering, and stabilize their lives. From 2008 to now, 538 million VND has been mobilized to support capital, seeds, free medical examination and medicine, wheelchairs and gifts for the victims.

The Congress approved the first term's program of activities and elected five comrades to the first Executive Committee.
