From June 12-15, the 2012 National Radio Festival will take place.
On the morning of June 11, at the National Radio Center (Hanoi), the Organizing Committee of the 10th National Radio Festival 2012 held a press conference to announce the activities of the Festival. Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam, Mr. Vu Hai - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Festival chaired the press conference.

The festival will take place in Hanoi from June 12 to 15, 2012. This is a meaningful activity to celebrate Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
At the same time, it is also an opportunity for radio journalists to meet, enhance mutual understanding, cooperate, share professional, journalistic, technical experiences, and grasp modern information and communication technologies of Vietnam and the world. It is known that the Organizing Committee has received 263 works from 63 radio stations, radio and television stations nationwide, two radio departments: People's Army, People's Security and 14 units of Voice of Vietnam.
Through the preliminary round in 3 regions: Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the Organizing Committee has selected 193 works for the final round; including: 59 reports, 25 interviews, 41 radio stories, 38 compilation programs, 30 live programs. The final round will be held at the Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace from June 12-15, 2012 with the award structure including 16 Gold prizes, 30 Silver prizes, 70 Bronze prizes and 77 Certificates of Merit.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also has a joint award of Voice of Vietnam Radio in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee, Electricity Corporation, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, National Committee for Crime and Drug Prevention and Control to judge and award prizes to works with the following topics: Traffic safety, electricity and life, workers and unions, drug crime prevention. These awards will be sponsored and awarded by the sectors and units in charge.
In addition, the Festival also has seminars and training courses on radio journalism and radio techniques such as: "Radio and Multimedia Communication" workshop to highlight the role and trends of radio communication in digital era multimedia communication, application of new technology in program production, technical improvements to improve work efficiency, save costs in professional activities; Workshop "Inheritance and integration of music on radio waves in the 21st century". International training course "Improving the quality of radio programs participating in international competitions" by the International Cooperation Department, Voice of Vietnam.
