The first day at the first Nghe An Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, June 24, 2012, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, there was a performance program by the clubs participating in the first Nghe An Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival 2012.

The Festival has more than 20 clubs, with more than 60 performances, hundreds of actors, including 5 clubs from Ha Tinh province. In the morning, there are 6 clubs performing, including: Nghi Lien (Vinh city), Tan Ky town, Dien Thai (Dien Chau), Xuan Hoa (Nam Dan), Cuong Gian (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh) and Thach Chau (Loc Ha, Ha Tinh). In the afternoon of the same day, there are clubs: Thach Son (Anh Son), Dong Thanh (Yen Thanh); Hung My (Hung Nguyen), Dong Hieu (Thai Hoa town) and Cam My (Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh).

What we noticed on the first day was that from early morning, there were many audiences coming to the Festival. Mr. Nguyen Huy Nguyen (69 years old, Le Mao ward, Vinh city) said: Before, in the army, I participated in the movement "Singing over the sound of bombs". The folk songs of Nghe An by the propaganda teams were always a source of encouragement for the fighting spirit of the soldiers. Today, coming to see the folk song clubs perform, I was very moved, because not only people like us love folk songs, but there are also many young people, including children, who sing folk songs very well, which is truly admirable. Mr. Nguyen Tien Tam (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh) said: The organizing committee should increase the number of performances and exchanges of clubs in different localities. That way, people all over the province will have the opportunity to enjoy the performances of different clubs.

This morning, the audience and judges were very impressed with the performance."I love the folk song of my hometown"by little girl Dinh Le Thuy An (8 years old, Xuan Hoa Folk Song Club, Nam Dan). With a clear, strong, and rhythmic voice, she made the audience applaud endlessly because of her natural and playful performance. It is known that Thuy An is living with her grandparents (her parents have been separated for 4 years), her real family discovered her rustic voice, and the first folk song was taught by Ms. Nhung. Music teacher Nguyen Thi Hang directly supported, guided, and taught her a lot. Thuy An said: "I love sweet folk songs, which are easier to remember than my lessons. I will definitely become a singer like Ms. Hong Luu in the future".

As one of the typical clubs of Loc Ha district (Ha Tinh province), Thach Chau Folk Song Club is one of 5 clubs selected from the Ha Tinh Province Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival. Ms. Kim Oanh (26 years old, club member) excitedly said: The folk song singing movement has been widely developed, "every family sings folk songs, everyone sings folk songs". Coming to this Festival, Thach Chau Folk Song Club presented 3 performances: "Khap mat hen da be duyen" (self-composed new lyrics), duet "Thu long chung thuy" and "Thach Chau que me". Thach Chau Folk Song Club is very happy to contribute a small effort to the success of the Festival.

According to the judges' assessment: after a day of performance, in general, the performances were quite elaborately staged, preserving the traditional performance space, ensuring the requirements of the Organizing Committee. In particular, many clubs invested in and composed new performances, richly expressing the genres of dialogue, chanting, and rhyming, creating an impression on the audience.
