Launch of the Chinese-language online edition of People's Daily

On the morning of August 30th, the online version of the People's Daily in Chinese officially launched. Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Dinh The Huynh - Member of the Political Bureau - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam - Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Huynh Ngoc Son - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; and the Chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.
Mr. Thuan Huu, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, emphasized that the launch of the Chinese-language online version of Nhan Dan Newspaper stems from the need to strengthen external information work, proactively and actively integrate into the international community, especially to develop the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.
The availability of an online version of the People's Daily in Chinese has become essential. This would provide Chinese readers and those who speak Chinese worldwide with another accurate, reliable, and engaging source of information to better understand Vietnam, its people, and the viewpoints, policies, and guidelines of the Vietnamese Party and State.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh The Huynh welcomed and highly appreciated the Editorial Board and the entire staff of Nhan Dan Newspaper for their efforts in preparing and creating all the conditions for the launch of the Chinese-language online version of Nhan Dan Newspaper to readers.
Mr. Dinh The Huynh affirmed that the Chinese-language online edition of Nhan Dan newspaper was launched to concretize the implementation of the foreign information strategy in the new situation.
To fulfill their duties effectively, according to Mr. Dinh The Huynh, the Editorial Board of Nhan Dan newspaper and the staff and reporters of the Chinese-language online version of Nhan Dan newspaper need to constantly improve the quality of news articles and images, ensuring authenticity and attractiveness, and maintaining correct political orientation…/.
