Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the children's toy market becomes bustling. In previous years, the market in Dien Chau was flooded with Chinese toys (including violent toys on the banned trade list) which were sold quite openly in markets and business locations. However, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the trading of children's toys in the whole district has become more regular.

(Baonghean.vn) -Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the children's toy market becomes bustling. In previous years, the market in Dien Chau was flooded with Chinese toys (including violent toys on the banned trade list) which were sold quite openly in markets and business locations. However, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, the trading of children's toys in the whole district has become more regular.

Walking around the toy stalls at Dien Chau town market, Dan market (Dien Hong commune), and rural markets in communes in the district, we rarely saw violent Chinese toys for sale. Toys such as swords, plastic guns, water guns, knives, plastic swords, etc., which were previously in demand by many people, have almost disappeared this year. When we expressed our desire to buy a plastic gun for our child at home, a toy business owner at the town market said that this year in Dien Chau district, almost no one sells these items due to strict management by authorities. Although there are no more violent toys, observing the buying and selling scene at toy stores, we noticed that customers who bring their children to buy gifts still like them because Chinese toys are diverse in types, designs, eye-catching in appearance and very affordable.

Authorities regularly inspect the children's toy market in Dien Chau.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chung (residing in Hamlet 4, Dien Hong Commune) is choosing Mid-Autumn Festival toys for his child. He said: During the neighborhood meetings, the government has announced and encouraged people not to buy and sell violent toys. I also see that these types of toys are dangerous for the development of children's personalities.

To maintain the stability of the toy market in Dien Chau, there is a significant contribution from Market Management Team No. 1 - Nghe An Market Management Department. Not only near the Mid-Autumn Festival, but from the beginning of the year, the Team has strengthened the inspection, detection and handling of toys on the banned list, especially items belonging to the violent group. By September 20, the Team had detected and handled over 12 cases of transporting and trading smuggled toys of unknown origin and toxic toys, seizing over 2,500 toys of various types (swords, knives, guns, swords, smuggled masks). According to Mr. Nguyen Tung Son - Team Leader of Market Management Team No. 1, this year, under the direction of the Provincial Market Management Department, the Team has coordinated with local authorities to inspect and strictly manage the toy market, thereby preventing the transportation and trading of violent toys, especially during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Traditional children's toys are sold in Dien Chau

In addition, it is noteworthy that local authorities from the district to communes, towns, blocks, hamlets and schools in Dien Chau have unanimously promoted and mobilized people to say no to violent toys, with the aim of giving children in the whole district a joyful and safe Mid-Autumn Festival. This is a positive sign.
