Overall perspective of the Hanoi National University project.

The next meeting on the progress and results of the Project implementation is scheduled for October 16, 2012.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister also requested Hanoi National University to seriously review the training scale plan approved by the Prime Minister, with the orientation of focusing on training high-quality, highly skilled human resources, in order to develop a plan to adjust the training scale in the coming stages.

This revised plan must be agreed upon by the Ministry of Education and Training and submitted to the Prime Minister before September 8, 2012.

According to the previously approved plan, Hanoi National University is to be built in Hoa Lac, bordered to the east by National Highway 21, approximately 1,000m north of the Hoa Lac airport runway, to the south by the Lang Hoa Lac road, and to the west by Than Lan mountain. The planned area covers 1,000 hectares. The training capacity for the period up to 2020 is 60,000 students, with a vision to 100,000 students by 2050.

The university campus is organized according to a centripetal model, with spatial layers forming rings around the central area. The first ring is for faculties and member universities. The outermost ring comprises research facilities, student dormitories, staff housing, and training support units.

The central area covers more than 60 hectares. The area includes buildings such as the administrative center, central library, and cultural center, all designed with modern architecture that harmonizes with the overall space of the university campus.
