(Baonghena.vn) -On the morning of November 5, at Dang Chanh Ky Secondary School, the Standing Committee of Nam Dan District Youth Union held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the contest "Learning about the life and career of comrade Nguyen Tiem" - the first Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Nghe An.

Overview of the closing ceremony

The contest was launched on September 15, 2012 in two forms: multiple choice and essay. The multiple choice test was launched from September 16, 2012 to October 28, 2012. After 6 weeks of organization, with questions related to the life and career of comrade Nguyen Tiem, there were 9,456 participants. Of which, the total number of people who answered all 3 questions correctly in the 6 weeks of the contest was 5,762, reaching a rate of 60.93%. Every week, the Organizing Committee of the contest organized awards for the winning individuals. As a result, in the 6 weeks of organization of the multiple choice test, 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 18 consolation prizes were awarded.

For the writing contest, by October 25, 2012, the Organizing Committee had received 4,446 entries. Most of the entries outlined the life, career and contributions of Comrade Nguyen Tiem. Some entries not only demonstrated their understanding of Comrade Nguyen Tiem’s life and career but also expressed their own and the younger generation’s gratitude towards previous generations. They expressed their own sincere and pure feelings about Comrade Nguyen Tiem’s great contributions, from which they identified what needs to be done to preserve and promote his noble qualities in their current life, study and work.

At the end of the writing competition, the Organizing Committee - Jury selected 16 entries from 16 individuals and 4 groups with the best entries to award first, second, third and consolation prizes.
