Muong Noc suspension bridge railings are being stolen

(Baonghean.vn) -Muong Noc suspension bridge (Muong Noc commune, Que Phong district) has had its railings removed by thieves, causing a section of the bridge to fall into the river over 20 meters long. This situation has been going on for over a year now, but no authorities have taken any action.

Muong Noc suspension bridgeCompleted in 2008, 75m long, 1.5m wide, designed for pedestrians, bicycles and motorbikes to pass. Muong Noc suspension bridge is the only bridge connecting 4 villages: Muong Mun, Luong, Na Phi and Don Cham of Muong Noc commune with National Highway 48, about 400m from Kim Son town. During use, the bridge has not been maintained or repaired, so it has deteriorated and damaged.

According to Mr. Quang Van Du (residing in Muong Man village, Muong Noc commune), the railing of this bridge was stolen by some people, some iron bars of the railing were loose and fell into the river, some sections were more than 20m long, this is very dangerous for people and vehicles passing through this bridge.
