However, the biggest challenge of the commune is mobilizing land and labor donations to build public works. Identifying propaganda and mobilization work as top priority, reading and following the Party newspaper as key, the Party Committee of the commune has closely followed the policies and guidelines of the Party and State to implement effective steps.

Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee - Comrade Tran Dang Trung said: Every year, Dien Thanh allocates approximately 30 million VND from the budget from various sources to purchase books and newspapers, most of which are Nhan Dan Newspaper, Nghe An Newspaper and Party magazines... The Party Committee has 15 Party cells, all of which have Nhan Dan Newspaper and Nghe An Newspaper. Some Party cells, before monthly meetings, also organize reading or dissemination of articles that are suitable for the political tasks that their localities are carrying out so that Party members can understand and follow. According to Comrade Tran Ngoc Chu, Secretary of Party Cell 4 - the Party Cell with the largest number of young Party members, young Party members have many advantages in absorbing information from the press to learn and follow, especially the recent information in Nghe An Newspaper about good practices in "Building new rural areas" in Nam Dan, Do Luong... That is also the general comment of the Party Committees of Party Cells 5, 6, 11 of Dien Thanh Party Committee.

Along with propaganda and mobilization work, the Party Committee and the government of Dien Thanh commune have implemented synchronous measures to complete the criteria from easy to difficult. Particularly for traffic roads, with the support of the commune budget from 30 - 40% along with the contribution of the people, in just the first 3 months of implementation (October to December 2011), 9.7 km of concrete and asphalt roads were completed by Dien Thanh according to standards; 11/11 km of village roads and alleys were concreted and asphalted. Thanks to good propaganda work, some families in hamlets 5 and 7 donated from 7 to 20 square meters of garden land to complete the road according to regulations and on schedule. Up to now, Dien Thanh has achieved 7 criteria in 2011 such as: construction of traffic infrastructure, post office, health care, environment, security. In 2012, the commune strives to complete 5 criteria: planning and implementing planning for schools, markets, labor structure and cultural criteria...

Currently, the Party Committee and the people of Dien Thanh are implementing measures to shift the economic structure appropriately. Along with shifting the structure of crops with high economic value, it is necessary to strengthen the development of industries such as marine tourism services, trade services, promoting the potential of fisheries, and seafood processing. At the same time, the Party Committee is paying special attention to tasks such as developing culture, health care, education, family planning, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and job creation for workers.

Comrade Ho Thi Tam - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee said: Along with promoting "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", the Campaign "Building new rural areas" is also attracting a large number of people in the area to participate. Thereby, the Party cells have discovered, challenged, and nurtured many outstanding union members and members to become sympathizers of the Party and Party objects. In 2011 and the first 9 months of 2012, the Party Committee admitted 14 new Party members, including young and typical Party members such as Comrades Cao Van Dong, Vu Thi Thuy, Vu Thi Thang... Collectives such as Party Cell 11, Party Cell 6 achieved the title of "Clean, exemplary Party Cell"; for many consecutive years, the Dien Thanh Commune Party Committee achieved the title of "Clean and strong"; in which in 2010 and 2011, the Party Committee was recognized as "Typical clean and strong Party Committee". One of the reasons for Dien Thanh's positive results is that the Party Committee pays attention to political and ideological work, in which "reading and following the Party newspaper" has contributed significantly to raising people's awareness in the most practical way.
