Specifically, for E5 gasoline, from December 1, 2014, gasoline produced, mixed, and traded for use in road motor vehicles consumed in 7 provinces and cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho, Quang Ngai, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau is E5 gasoline. From December 1, 2015, gasoline produced, mixed, and traded for use in road motor vehicles consumed nationwide is E5 gasoline. For E10 gasoline, from December 1, 2016, gasoline produced, mixed, and traded for use in road motor vehicles consumed in 7 provinces and cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho, Quang Ngai, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau is E10 gasoline. From December 1, 2017, gasoline produced, blended, and sold for use in road motor vehicles consumed nationwide is E10 gasoline.

During the period when the mixing ratio is not yet applied according to the roadmap, organizations and individuals are encouraged to produce, blend and trade E5, E10 gasoline and B5 and B10 diesel.
