2013 Quynh Luu District Pioneer Cross Country Championship

(Baonghean.vn) -To celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26) and the 67th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27), on the morning of March 10, at the beach road of Quynh Lien commune (Quynh Luu district), the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with Quynh Luu District Youth Union organized the 2013 Vanguard Cross Country Race.

This is the traditional Vanguard cross-country race organized annually by the district to encourage the sports movement among youth and students in the district, continuing to respond to the movement "the whole people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

Athletes on the track

The tournament had over 500 athletes from 43 communes and towns, competing in 4 events for 2 age groups. Under 16 years old competed: female 2.5 km, male 3 km; over 16 years old competed: female 3 km, male 5 km. End of the tournament: First place for the whole team belonged to Quynh Lien commune team; second place for Quynh Bang commune team; third place: Quynh Giang commune. Individual prizes: From first prize to 10th prize for all events and age groups.

The Spring Cross Country Race aims to evaluate the grassroots sports movement, discover and select outstanding athletes to participate in the Sacombak Cross Country Race of Nghe An province in 2013 and the Sports Festival at all levels in 2013-2014.
