(Baonghean.vn) -In just a few days, our country and homeland will enter a new spring season. For the inmates serving sentences at Nghi Kim Detention Center (Nghe An), celebrating Tet away from their loved ones is also a time for repentance, for self-reflection, and for repaying the kindness of the police officers who helped them on their path to rehabilitation.
In addition to strictly managing and detaining hundreds of convicts, suspects under investigation, and death row inmates awaiting execution, Nghi Kim Detention Center successfully rehabilitated nearly 300 prisoners in 2012. Over 60 of them received vocational training in trades such as masonry and electrical work; many found stable employment after their release. The recidivism rate decreased significantly compared to previous years.
