Russian media praises relations with Vietnam

According to VNA correspondents in Russia, on March 9 and 10, two Russian news agencies ITAR-TASS and RIA-Novosti published news and articles reflecting the visit to the Russian Federation of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly led by Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, and praising the traditional friendship, cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia that has been increasingly consolidated and enhanced.

Posting an interview with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung by reporter Yuri Denisovich based in Hanoi, ITAR-TASS stated that this visit to Russia by the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly as well as the effective cooperation between the two countries' National Assemblies will make an important contribution to further developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Hanoi and Moscow.

ITAR-TASS emphasized that Russia and Vietnam regularly exchange high-level delegations and ministerial-level and local-level delegations. ITAR-TASS recalled that during the visit to Vietnam in November 2012 by the Chairwoman of the Federation Council (Upper House) of Russia, Ms. Valentina Matvienko, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement, marking a new stage of development between the two countries' parliaments and contributing to strengthening and expanding bilateral strategic cooperation.

RIA-Novosti and ITAR-TASS both reported that in addition to activities in Saint Petersburg and meetings with the city's executive and legislative leaders, the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly led by National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung will meet and hold talks with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Federation Council Matvienko and Chairman of the State Duma (lower house) of Russia, Sergey Nayshkin.

The delegation will also have an exchange of opinions with representatives of the Moscow Duma. RIA-Novosti concluded that this visit to Russia by National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung will contribute to further promoting all-round cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Saint Petersburg's V TV channel reported in detail on the delegation's activities in the ancient capital on the evening of March 9 and 10.

The press agency of the Federation Council of Russia said that many reporters from Russian television stations including Channel I, Russia, NTV, etc. and many major newspapers including Nga Bao, Doc Lap Newspaper, Tin Tuc have registered to report on the main activities of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly led by National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung in Russia./.
