Scientists and experts provide feedback on the draft amendments to the Constitution.

The delegates focused their feedback on chapters related to human rights and the organization of the state apparatus.

On the morning of February 28th, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, in collaboration with the Legislative Research Journal of the National Assembly Office, organized a conference to provide feedback on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution. Attending the conference were National Assembly representatives from Ho Chi Minh City, as well as scientists, researchers, and legal experts.

Delegates attending the Conference focused their contributions on the chapters related to human rights and the organization of the State apparatus in the draft amendment to the 1992 Constitution. Many delegates believed that, in this draft, the issue of human rights and the fundamental rights and obligations of citizens have been given due importance.

However, it is necessary to consider the limitations on human rights and civil rights to avoid excessive expansion or contraction; some specific terminology also needs to be revised for greater accuracy. Regarding Chapter 5 of the draft concerning the National Assembly, many legal experts believe that for the National Assembly and People's Councils, some provisions in the draft should be redesigned so that important tasks and powers are not assigned to the standing body but are decided by that body itself, overcoming the situation of "bureaucratization of representative bodies".

This draft also needs clearer regulations on the organization of the government apparatus, with a distinction between rural and urban areas to promote development.
