Coach Hoang Van Phuc has officially finalized the 23-player squad for the Vietnamese national team's match against UAE in the 2015 Asian Cup.

The four players removed from the list include goalkeeper Thanh Hào, and players Vũ Minh Tuấn, Hoàng Thiên, and Hà Minh Tuấn.

Coach Hoang Van Phuc finalizes the squad list.

Explaining this choice, coach Hoang Van Phuc said: "According to the AFC's registration regulations, each team is allowed to register three goalkeepers. Therefore, I will register all three goalkeepers, Thanh Binh, Tuan Linh, and Buu Ngoc, for tomorrow's match."

The players who were dropped from the squad will continue to live with the team until the match against UAE is over.

During the press conference, Mr. Phuc also affirmed: "The Vietnamese team has prepared all tactical options for this match and the goal is to get points. If we have the opportunity, we will try to win 3 points."

However, when asked whether the duo Mac Hong Quan and Michal Nguyen would start the match, coach Hoang Van Phuc declined to reveal the answer.

Earlier, Vietnam's opponent, the UAE, also finalized their 23-player squad for the away match at My Dinh Stadium. The UAE brought their entire squad that won the 2013 Gulf Cup in Bahrain last January. Notably, this includes striker Ismael Matar Ibrahim, the player who won the Golden Ball at the 2003 FIFA U20 World Cup.
