This is one of 11 activities to celebrate the Party and the Spring of Quy Ty year 2013 organized by the district. Party flags and national flags fluttered in the fields where the contest took place, with yellow slogans on a bright red background "celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring, celebrating the homeland and the renewed country", "All for the target of 19,000 tons of food in 2013", "Rice is life", "Today is hard work, tomorrow is warmth and prosperity"...

The competition was organized at the commune level, each village sent a team of 6 people, of which 5 people directly participated in the planting competition, 1 person served the seedlings for the planting team. With the slogan "Planting quickly, planting beautifully, planting with the right technique", the competition attracted thousands of people in the commune to watch and cheer.

The teams must go through 2 rounds: In the knowledge round, the contestants must answer correctly and completely the questions about soil preparation techniques, sowing, transplanting and rice care techniques, etc. In the practical round, with the requirements of being fast, beautiful (planting in straight rows, seedlings not crooked), correct technique (correct distance, correct density), within 15 minutes the teams must complete transplanting a 100 m2 field. In addition to the prize money, each winning team will be awarded from 1 to 5 rice flowers; the field owner will give the team a jar of rice wine.
