Initiating the humanitarian blood donation movement.
(Baonghean)After graduating from university, Nguyen Dinh Ha started working at the Anh Son District Youth Union. As a youth union official, he deeply understood the importance of voluntary blood donation, and therefore always took the lead in voluntary blood donation movements in the locality.
Ha shared: “Blood donation is a noble act; sharing a part of my blood can save lives, and I feel it's truly sacred. Going to the hospital, seeing patients weakening due to blood loss, witnessing the disappointment of their families, and the waiting of the doctors and nurses... makes me realize how necessary my actions are. Therefore, when the hospital requests blood donation, I'm always ready.” Not only does he participate in voluntary blood donation drives organized by the higher-level Youth Union, but Ha is also willing to share his blood in emergency situations to save lives. To date, Nguyen Dinh Ha has donated blood three times to save lives.

In addition to participating in voluntary blood donation, over the years, Nguyen Dinh Ha has advised the Standing Committee of the District Youth Union to coordinate with the District Red Cross Society to develop a plan to promote the dissemination and mobilization of voluntary blood donation, creating a blood reserve in the community, providing timely supply for emergency and medical treatment, and contributing to improving the quality of public health care. From 2010 to the present, thousands of young people in the district have registered to donate blood voluntarily. And recently, on December 28, 2012, at the 2012 Voluntary Blood Donation Day, over 1,200 people in the district registered to participate, including nearly 1,000 young people, and 402 young people donated blood on the spot, collecting 406 units of blood, exceeding the planned target by over 200%.
Aware of the responsibilities of young people, and first and foremost the responsibility of a Youth Union official, Nguyen Dinh Ha used himself as an example to persuade and educate officials, Youth Union members, young people, and local residents about the noble act of donating blood to save lives. To date, in Anh Son district, along with Ha, many other exemplary individuals have emerged in the voluntary blood donation movement, having donated blood two or more times, such as Bui Cong Son (Tuong Son Commune Youth Union), Nguyen Van Duong (Irrigation Enterprise Youth Union), Nguyen Van Lam (District People's Committee Youth Union), Nguyen Van Huy (Duc Son Commune Youth Union)...
With his practical contributions, Nguyen Dinh Ha has become a shining example in the "Good People, Good Deeds" movement, implementing the "Anh Son Youth Studying and Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" campaign and the "Youth Volunteers for Community Life" campaign, which are being promoted at all levels of the Youth Union and the Federation of Youth Associations in Anh Son.
