The 2013 Lotus Village Festival was a great success.
On the evening of May 19th, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a closing ceremony for the 2013 Lang Sen Festival, a competition showcasing the beauty of the festival, and a performance of outstanding artistic performances from the Lang Sen Singing Festival. Awards were also presented to the participating art and sports delegations at the 2013 Lang Sen Festival.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of May 19th, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a closing ceremony for the 2013 Lang Sen Festival, a competition showcasing the beauty of the festival, and a performance of outstanding artistic performances from the Lang Sen Singing Festival. Awards were also presented to the participating art and sports delegations at the 2013 Lang Sen Festival.
Attending the closing ceremony were Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders from various departments and agencies, districts and cities, and a large number of people from the province.
The 2013 Lotus Village Festival took place over three days, from May 17th to 19th, in Vinh City and Nam Dan District. The festival attracted thousands of performers, athletes, and professionals from the culture, sports, and tourism sectors, with many attractive activities such as the Lotus Village Singing Festival, volleyball competitions, film screenings, photo exhibitions, camping, kite flying, and swinging competitions.

The 2013 Lotus Village Festival was a great success. The parade featured impressive and effective decorations from participating units; the Lotus Village Festival volleyball tournament saw lively and exciting competition. The results were: Quynh Luu district won first place; Dien Chau district won second place; and Hung Nguyen and Tuong Duong districts shared third place.
The "Village of Lotus Songs" festival, themed "Offering Folk Songs to Him," featured 17 amateur art troupes with over 400 performers and musicians, and nearly 100 musical and dance performances (most performances were songs about Uncle Ho and the Party, with the folk music style of Nghe An province). The youngest performer was a 7-year-old child, and the oldest was nearly 70 years old. At the 2013 Village of Lotus Songs festival, the amateur art troupes from Nghi Loc and Tan Ky districts shared first prize.

Comrade Cao Dang Vinh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, presented the first prize of the Miss Lotus Village contest to contestant Vo Hoang Yen from Vinh City.
At the closing ceremony, outstanding performances from the Lang Sen Singing Festival were showcased; the organizing committee also held a "Festival Beauty" contest, with 17 contestants from 17 districts, cities, and towns in the province participating; the result was that contestant Vo Hoang Yen from Vinh City won the title of Miss Lang Sen 2013. During the ceremony, the People's Committee of Nghe An province also awarded certificates of merit to units that achieved outstanding results at the Lang Sen Festival 2013.
